31 Days of Joy: Share Your Story

“Your story is the key that can unlock someone else's prison. Share your testimony."
― Anonymous

Share your story.

A testimony is simply honoring the Lord by sharing with another person His great work in your own life. Testimonies bring God's truth to life. It is one thing to hear a sermon on God’s grace; but it is a blessing to hear a brother or sister speak personally of his or her experience of God’s goodness. Testimonies invigorate and excite us as we are reminded that God is alive and at work in our midst. When we share our testimony, it encourages others to believe in God and also receive His promises, just like we have. If you need courage or boldness to share what God has done in your life, you can ask God for it. Don't be ashamed to share your story - you never know what others are going through. Your story may encourage them and give them hope. Sharing what God has done in our personal lives is the best way for us to remember all of the great things God has done for us. A reminder of God's goodness may be all it takes to bring joy back into your life. Maybe thinking on the things that God has done for you in the past will give you hope for all of the mighty things God wants to do in your future.

Focus Scriptures:

Grab a piece of paper and write your story. Where were you born? What are your best childhood memories? What do you love most about your life right now?
